2025-2026 Patricia Seitz Memorial Teacher of the Year Award

We are so grateful and humbled to share that we have been honored with the 2025-2026 Patricia Seitz Memorial Teacher of the Year Award from the Archeological Society of Maryland! @mdarcheology The award is presented to teachers who have achieved excellence in instruction by developing and/or incorporating archeological content, projects, and/or activities into their classroom curriculum during the school year. This award recognizes our "tireless efforts bringing archaeology into K-12 education and bringing the expertise of educators to archaeologists."

Thank you, Kat Sterner for the beautiful nomination! The archaeological community has embraced us from the start, and it has been so incredibly fulfilling to collaborate on projects that bring the practices, teachings, and ethical foundations of archaeology into classrooms. Bringing archaeology and education together has been, and continues to be, the joy of our careers.
